#Mollidays 2014

mollidays2014It’s that time again! I lose all sense of sanity and spend endless hours planning, baking, and perfecting. Sunday I got up at 7am and started planning all the treats I was going to make for work. Every year I bake for my principals, the office ladies, the lunchroom ladies, custodians, and teacher friends. Some may say it’s over the top and unnecessary but whatever scrooges, I do what I want. It’s the time of the year to be extra jolly and generous.

What I made:
Hot Cocoa Cookies with Marshmallows
Salted Caramel Turtle Thumbprint Cookies
Easy Christmas Peppermint Patties
Salted Caramel Maple Pecan Pie Bars
Salted Chocolate Espresso Brookies

All were pretty easy to make. I would not suggest doing it all in one day like I did. By the time I got to packaging I was so tired and could hardly tie a bow. I pretty much followed all the recipes as they are written. The only thing I tweaked was the peppermint patties recipe. I used a combination of vanilla and peppermint. I’m not a huge peppermint fan but I do like a sweet mint. If you can’t tell, I’m also a big fan of “salted” anything. I bought cookie tins at Hobby Lobby when they were 50% off. If you’re in a pinch here is a cool way to fold a paper plate to be a cookie basket.

Let me know if you make any of these or what you like to bake this time of year. Yay, Christmas cheer!

  • Wow that was extremely generous, but also sounds like a lot for one day. I’m usually tired after pulling out and measuring ingredients for just the first recipe 🙂

The hot chocolate cookies look like they turned out great! Thanks for giving them a try!
